Samerey Chihuahuas

Chihuahuas are extraordinarily hardy little dogs, not susceptible to any particular illnesses other than the normal canine ones. They are remarkably long-lived, often reaching 14 to 19 years of age.

A chihuahua absolutely radiates personality, and he will give so much and expect so little in return. His alertness and devotion are unbounding, and he is by no means a yappy, snappy, spoiled little toy dog unless his owner makes him so. The chihuahua makes an excellent watchdog since he has a keen sense of hearing and excellent sight. He is not a quarrelsome dog and will get along well with other animals, cats, rabbits and other dogs of all sizes.

Chihuahuas are not roamers and they love their comfort perhaps more that all other dogs. They are not scratchers nor are they destructive in anyway. Chihuahua like to climb up high places like cats do and you can find my chihuahuas on my patio chairs like the one in the picture above .They are very lovable dogs and very quiet too..not yappy in anyway unless they have a good reason to be.

BREED HISTORY

The smallest breed in the world are the Chihuahuas. They were named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. A Chihuahua is graceful, alert, swift-moving little dog with a saucy expression. There are two distinct breed types of the Chihuahua, one with a long coat of soft texture, the other with a short coat. Identical otherwise, both can be whelped in the same litter. Adored for their small size, the Chihuahua is a bright eyed, dainty dog who is perfect for apartment living. Most breeders recommend adopting Chihuahua between the ages of 4 - 12 months as they will be more mature and agile and not so apt for injury.

The Chihuahua was discovered in Mexico about 100 years ago. The true origins of their ancestors is still a mystery. It is said they were bred from the small dogs know among the Toltecs of Mexico in the ninth century.
